LJ Liston recorded four tackles last week in his first career start, but odds are he's been eyeing tonight's game against Michigan far longer.
The Grand Blanc, Michigan, native said he grew up about 45 minutes from Ann Arbor but didn't watch much college football growing up. He'll still recognize plenty of faces on Michigan's sideline.
"I have mixed emotions about that game because I know like 12 to 13 players on their team," Liston said last week. "I'm getting phone calls already. I got text messages like, 'We're coming next week, we're coming.' Honestly that's going to be a good game. I can't wait for it."
Liston played in high school with Michigan's Justice Hayes, the team's third-leading rusher, before spending a year at Hargrave Military Academy (Virginia).
"It's going to be good to play against him again," Liston said.
