When Quron Pratt sat down with Eagles wide receivers coach Bob Bicknell and another assistant in mid-April, the NFL staffers asked him to draw up his favorite play.
On a dry-erase board on the third floor of Rutgers' Hale Center facility, the draft-eligible receiver didn't hesitate.
“Z Drive Raven. It’s a route that I’m very familiar with," Pratt said last week from his home in Palmyra. "I caught a lot of them over the years. I had a big game the first time we played Arkansas. We ran it five times, completed it five times. It’s a great third-down play, a man-beater.
“I play the slot on that play, and it’s a 10-yard out. You have an outside guy run a go route to hold off the corner and the safety to get them out of there. You have a one-on-one with the linebacker, so it’s a mismatch all day. You really can’t stop that route.”
Pratt finished with five receptions for 85 yards on Sept. 22, 2012, a 35-26 victory in Fayetteville, Ark.
