Less than a month remains until the start of Rutgers training camp. This top-25 countdown will run infrequently, documenting who's got the most to prove in 2014.
Why Peele's on the list: Peele showed a knack for getting open in the middle of the field as a true freshman ... before injuries forced the coaching staff to move him to corner.
Now back on offense, Peele — tied for most returning catches (28) for a receiver — must give direction to an inexperienced group.
But a foot injury sidelined him during the middle of camp, and his timetable to return is unknown.
Will he undergo surgery? Or does a more cautious, short-term approach win out?
During training camp, keep an eye on: Peele's availability.
Should he return, Peele will likely be under medical scrutiny through August. He's not the type of player to watch from the sidelines.
2014 outlook: It's a big guessing game on this front.
His foot healed, Peele has a knack for the slot that few possess. But a slow recovery could force others into the role. A jury awaits.
