NEWTOWN, Pa. — Quron Pratt is a week away from Rutgers' March 12 pro day, where the 6-foot receiver from Palmyra can significantly improve his draft stock with a solid performance.

The Trentonian will follow Pratt's journey from trainee to pro day participant to NFL Draft hopeful, beginning next week with an in-depth look at his training regimen.

He returns to Piscataway in less a week. Scouts will pore over his measurables, beginning in the team's Hale Center, well before he steps on the turf at Rutgers' practice bubble.

Pratt already has a teammate in mind who will impress them.

“Personally I think Jamal Merrell because of his size and his athleticism," Pratt said. "He’s going to run a fast 40 I know. He’s a strong guy, which people may not know about him. He knows linebacker drills. He has great feet. I think he’s going to blow up pro day.”

One of 18 players participating in Rutgers' pro day, Pratt says he tries to stay in contact with arguably the school's top prospect, fellow wideout Brandon Coleman, who's training at Phoenix facility EXOS.

"When I’m working out, he might be in the morning. When I come back, he’s still working out," Pratt said. "A good time to call would be after 6 (p.m.) for him, which is 8 or 9 for me, when I’m really trying to get ready for bed. We made it work a couple times. We had good talks, seeing where his head is and how he’s feeling.”
